HEA’s expertise in Asbestos Management has been nationally recognized since 1987. A leader in the development and refinement of many of the engineering controls and methods used to remove asbestos in occupied buildings, our technical assistance has been solicited by such groups as the American Hospital Association, the Association of Physical Plant Administrators, the National Institute of Building Sciences, as well as the EPA’s office of Research and Development.
A frequent lecturer at Georgia Tech’s Asbestos Management programs, Jack L. Halliwell was elected to the board of National Asbestos Council in 1991. In addition, Mr. Halliwell and the HEA staff have lectured frequently on the removal of asbestos containing materials and management of the asbestos, in occupied buildings and have published numerous articles on the subject.
In 1990, Mr. Halliwell was accepted by the US Federal Courts System as an expert in asbestos management, abatement and the resulting cost.
