About the Job: We are searching for Electrical Engineers with experience in the field of electrical building systems to conduct forensic investigations of commercial, institutional, high-rise and residential buildings to determine failures and defects.

Key Requirements Include: The ideal candidate will have experience in the design, installation and operation of building power distribution systems ranging from low voltage branch circuit distribution systems through medium voltage utility services and distribution systems.  The candidate must also have experience in Life Safety systems (egress and exit lighting and fire alarm systems), Emergency Power systems and Communications (telephone and data) systems.

Additional Requirements Include:

  • Minimum of 10 years electrical engineering experience
  • Experience in forensic engineering, property loss insurance and claims response, and cause and origin analysis is a plus
  • BSEE degree
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Approximately 25% travel
  • PE registration

Mechanical Engineers

About the Job: We are searching for Mechanical Engineers to conduct forensic investigations of commercial, institutional, high-rise and residential buildings to determine failures and defects. The selected individuals will determine the cause and origin of building system damages and provide a detailed report to the client.
The ideal candidates will have experience in building systems evaluation and optimization, forensic engineering, HVAC design, commissioning, construction and/or diagnostics. Ability to serve as an expert witness during litigation is a plus.

Key Requirements Include:

  • BSME degree
  • Minimum of 10 years mechanical engineering experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

Architect/Building Envelope Professionals

About the Job: We are interested in adding experienced, entrepreneurial Architects to our team to help us conduct forensic investigations of commercial, institutional, high-rise and residential building failures. These individuals will assist our Clients in the determination, diagnosis and documentation of building defect evaluation and failure causation analysis. The selected individuals will assist in on-site investigations to determine the cause and origin of building damage, will provide detailed verbal and written reporting to the Client.
The ideal candidates will have wide-ranging experience in building construction and design. The candidates will have conducted building component failure investigations along with other varieties of building envelope deficiency analysis. The candidates will also have had practical exposure to rehabilitation design methodologies along with experience in the repair of exterior wall cladding systems, roofing and fenestration systems. The ability to serve as an expert witness during litigation is a plus.

Key Requirements Include:

  • BA or MA degree in architecture
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience with building envelope systems/evaluations
  • Architectural registration mandatory, NCARB certification preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Approximately 25% travel expected

Civil/Structural Engineers

About the Job:We are searching for Civil/Structural Engineers to conduct forensic investigations of commercial, institutional, high-rise and residential buildings to determine failures and defects. The ideal candidates will have experience in performing civil/structural failure analysis and investigations on damaged properties.
Candidates should have experience managing employees and clients, and have the desire to move into a management role in the next few years. Experience working with independent adjusters, attorneys, and/or property insurance carriers is a plus.

Key Requirements Include:

  • Experience in reverse engineering, design defects, construction defects, forensic engineering, property loss insurance and claims response, or cause and origin analysis.
  • Minimum of 10 years engineering experience
  • BS degree in structural/civil engineering
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Approximately 25% travel
  • PE required
